Students who come to class without pencils can delay class time and break your classroom budget if you don’t come up with a strategy. I tried the pencil parking but found it too hard to track down missing pencils. Last year, I began loaning these golf pencils and found that it was cheap and easy. (Just don’t also hand out erasers or else students will not be encouraged to bring their own pencils!)
