I’ve had a few people ask for updates on my cancer journey. Praise God, my scans last month were clear except for a hot spot that is indicative of healing from radiation.
My next scans are in April, but I have a peace about the future. God healed me in a way that I regard as miraculous and brought me to surgeons that I can say were the best of the best—not only in skill, but in humility and compassion. Now that I have experienced the supernatural calm, joy, and strength that comes from trusting in God, I feel as though I have secret weapons even if the sarcoma has spread — though that may sound weird.
Plus, I can’t believe all the new treatments and knowledge that have become available even since my diagnosis— thanks to sarcoma warriors and their family and friends pushing for more research.
I have had three viruses since Christmas, and a sinus infection. Please pray for teachers and students during the season of flus and viruses. I feel as though we are all on the front lines when it comes to germs.
But despite often feeling congested, I’ve enjoyed life so much.
Right now I am on a lunch date with myself, catching up with writing and social media while enjoying Vietnamese food and a lovely Chai tea.
Friday night I participated in a talent show with so many lovely students from my school, West Scranton Intermediate. You can see my taco costume in one of the pics. Yes, I sang and danced to “It’s Raining Tacos” with the chorus club.
I included other little snippets of fun things I’ve done in the past three months. Here is the link to my Facebook page where I share news about my own battle and the battle of others on my heart who have sarcoma: https://www.facebook.com/groups/2838448936312005
God is good, folks. He is beside us during the dark days, yet He is the light at the end of the tunnel.
