Welcome to Writing on Walsh Mountain, Jodie Wolfe!
I recently began reading Protecting Annie, and contacted Jody about an interview. And, it didn’t register until a couple days ago that Jody was one of the blog stops on the Celebrate Lit tour for my novel Elsie Whitmore. I think it is fun that I am sharing a review and my interview with Jody ON THE SAME DAY that she is hosting me on her blog! https://www.jodiewolfe.com/2022/01/26/elsie-whitmore/
I enjoyed reading Protecting Annie. The novel definitely fits her slogan “Where hope meets quirky”. The heroine, Annie, had some adorable quirks, along with some misconceptions that almost cost her a wonderful love. The story has a message of healing and hope. Here is the review I left on Amazon and Goodreads:

Enjoy getting to know Jodie Wolfe and her writing in the interview and author biography below!
What is something unique about you that readers might not know about?
I love snow! Each winter my husband and I pray for snow. There have been some winters when friends will say, “Will you please stop praying for snow.” Chuckle. We never have enough of it. 🙂

What were some things about your childhood that may have inspired you to become a writer?
The number one thing that inspired me was reading and watching Little House on the Prairie series. I think it instilled in me a love of historical things.

Tell us about your latest writing project. (You can talk about your latest release and your next book as well!)
I’m currently working on book three in my Burrton Springs Brides Series called Wooing Gertrude. Book two, Protecting Annie, was just released in November. Here’s the back cover blurb:
After twenty years of living along the trail as a deputy U.S. Marshal, Joshua Walker takes a job as sheriff in Burrton Springs, Kansas so he can be closer to his sister. Only problem, she no longer requires his protecting so he’s unsure of his next step.
Annie McPherson needs a change after the death of her father. She accepts a position as a schoolmarm, hoping her past won’t catch up with her. Life is good, except for the pesky sheriff who continues to question her ability to adjust to life in the west and creates confrontations at every turn.
When the irritating schoolteacher’s past and present collide, dragging him into the turmoil, Josh has to decide who he’s willing to defend.
What advice do you have for aspiring authors?
Trust God and His timing. My first book in this series, Taming Julia as well as Protecting Annie were written quite a number of years ago but they didn’t interest a publisher…until God’s timing many years later.
