Mornings at Character Café — featuring Christina from the Not Again series

Welcome to Character Café, Christina! I know you have so much going on in your life. I am glad you could squeeze in a visit here in Walshland!

I am glad to sit down! Oh wow! You have so many cool things on the menu!

Thank you! While you decide what you want to order, can you tell the other diners a little about your personality?

I’m friendly and somewhat outgoing, and I prefer smaller get togethers to large group gatherings. Because I genuinely care about people, I try to help them in any way I can. I would say that I’m confident but not cocky. I’m grounded and appreciate the simple things in life, so no thrill seeking for me. I’m perfectly content to not go skydiving or climb Mount Everest. However, I am passionate about food, and I do get that runner’s high on a good run.

What is your biggest challenge?

I have to accept that sometimes I need to ask for help from others, that it is not a sign of weakness, and it’s nothing to be ashamed of. God put people on this earth to support one another. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses, and together we are stronger.

What will readers like about your story?

Even though I have been through hell and back, I’m a fighter. I refuse to let my past keep me from being what God intends me to be. He is the Potter, and I am the clay. I seek the Holy Spirit’s guidance to direct my path, and I walk it, even when the path is rocky.

I can’t wait to see what will happen next in your story, Christina! I know you are a fighter and you have strong faith, but do you have any fears about this next stage of your life?

Sometimes I wonder if the terrible things that happened to me will affect the rest of my life — in devastating ways… And if I give the man I’ve always had feelings for a second chance, I fear he will break my heart again.

We readers are confident you have a bright future. You are probably ready to order What would you like from our menu?

Yes, that’s easy. I love extra thick, extra chocolately milkshakes! Life is better with chocolate!

Oh you are probably a bit overheated from all the running around you’ve been doing, so a chocolate milkshake will hit the spot! But for our readers who prefer a hot tea, let me tell you about chocolatey tea that my friend Julie and I had at the Borough Market in London!

It was exciting to stop at this tea stand that has made tea history! See if you can spot a celebrity in any of the my photos!

The special of the day was COCOA TEA. The flavor was incredible. There was no need to add any cream or sugar. And despite it being a warm day with much walking, it was remarkably calming and refreshing!

Here is the website for TEA2YOU! They ship to the United States! https://tea2you.co.uk/ (Right now they don’t have the cocoa tea in stock, but I am going to keep checking!)

Loved the interview. I always enjoy learning about the characters in different books coming out. It makes you want to read about those stories all the more. I will be purchasing Not Again- Fallout to add to my TBR pile.
Oh the chocolate tea sounds really good too. Always enjoy the Character Cafe!

    1. Thank you, Terri! We writers sure are blessed to have you in our lives!

  2. I have to go with Cocoa Tea!! I’m not normally a tea drinker but this would convince me!

  3. I read the first book and thoroughly enjoyed it. Now ready for the 2nd.
I really like my tea. I prefer fruity teas but i do like a cuppa Earl Grey. I like the butterfly pea tea too. Iced or hot, i have tea almost every day. 🤪
