I joined with several other wonderful authors to give you ideas of how to be more romantic in February. The excerpts from our characters going on dates are so varied and interesting. I had so much fun reading these, and I hope you will too!
My honey and I have spent so many wonderful dates and non-dates together. At times, our romance has gotten a bit stale, but God has a way of reminding us how much we love each other. I feel as though my cancer diagnosis last April brought us closer than we’ve been in years. I’m forever grateful for the rekindling of faith and romantic love that that trial in my life brought.
Some of these posts by my author friends gave me some ideas for future happenings with my love — and even with the whole fam!

I don’t think there is a more romantic and spiritual date than this one: http://aminatacoote.com
Have you ever watch the sun set with your love?

This is one of my dream dates. I love being out in the sunshine, and specially taking a stroll through a lovely park hand-in-hand with my love. https://heatherwoodauthor.wordpress.com/

This one is so much fun, which is not a surprise coming from Angela, whose whit on Facebook has often made me smile. Have you ever gone to a gun range with your love? I have! For me it was a stressful experience because I have such poor aim — and I am quite competitive with games. angelaruthstrong.com

This date is so real life. I remember the long distant dates I had with my husband on the phone while he was in the police academy. Have you ever been separated from your love, but had to make the best of it? https://corilynholloway.substack.com/

Oooh! Snowshoeing! Have you ever gone out on a winter tromp through snow with your hubby? I have, and there is a magic to it! http://www.juliecoulterbellon.com/

This date is one I’ve wanted to do since I was a kid. I always dreamed of floating in the Dead Sea like Ruth’s characters do. http://ruthforchrist.com

This date takes us back to the 1930s and gives os a glimpse of what life was like for patients at the West Mountain Sanitarium. My husband I spent so much time there, metal-detecting and then researching the items he found. https://walshmountainpublishing.com/2025/02/14/nelliesdatenight/

This date is similar to something my daughters and I enjoyed over the summer when we went to a giant arcade on Connecticut. Did you ever go to an arcade with your honey in the 1980s? Here’s a little something to give you a flashback: https://www.mariathenriksen.com

This date is one of my favorite things to do with my husband. We love to play explore historic buildings and properties, just like April Kidwell’s characters. http://www.aprilkidwellauthor.com/

Have you ever dressed up and gone on a fine dining date? Dreamy! jenniferqhunt.com. I have done this many times with my husband and with friends. In fact, I recently had a lunch date with a dear friend at a new fancy restaurant in Scranton. My good friend Sheila shared the good news that God had brought a new love into her life through her time volunteering in North Carolina. (She will share that story in my blog soon!!)

Have you ever joined with your honey to chaperone a school dance? I’ve chaperoned many as a middle school teacher. However, my hubby has never been interested in joining me. Ha ha! Not that I blame him, and in his defense, he was usually working as a police officer at the same time the dances were held. https://mawitty.com/a-high-school-homecoming-twist-on-date-night/
